Dr. Michal Brylinski
Dr. Brylinski serves as Associate Director of the LBRN BBC. He is an associate professor at Louisiana State University in the Biological Sciences Department.
He writes, “I am interested in incorporating multi-dimensional biological data into computer-aided drug discovery and design. I study drug-oriented interactomes by combining high-level “omics” data, such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, glycomics, and genome-wide association studies with molecular and atomic-level modeling of medically relevant biomolecules and interactions among them. I also apply deep learning technologies to integrate, analyze, and classify large-scale experimental and computer-generated biological data. My goals are to support the development of novel and safe pharmaceuticals with enhanced selectivity profiles, to expand the current opportunity space for polypharmacology and rational drug repositioning, and to contribute to the field of precision medicine.”
